About the Designer
Dear Friend,
In 2005 my father was diagnosed with stage IV melanoma. He was given 3
months to live, and told to get his things in order. The news of my father's
condition was devastating. I remember thinking, "Oh my God, I could lose this
person I love so very much". This is my hero. A numb, helpless, angry feeling
took over me. I could not fix it.
I decided, since I couldn't make him better, I would make him a special
blanket. When he started his grueling treatment of interferon that lasted
over a year's time, the one thing he told me was that he felt extremely cold,
and progressively so as timed passed. This was because of weight loss and the
immune system was so weakened. I wanted the blanket to not only help him stay
warm but also wanted him to feel my hug and love, even if I wasn't there.
It worked! The blanket not only provided comfort, but kept him warm as well.
He took his blanket with him for his daily treatments during the first month,
and every other day weeks for the following 11 months.
My dad is cancer free for 4 years now..my family has truly been blessed..and
my mother is my other hero. This has been a life-changing event for me.
I am proud to introduce Cancer Comforts by Bella Bubs. This special
collection offers blankets and hats especially for cancer patients during the
most difficult times in their lives.
My heart goes into every gift I make. I pray that the day that a cure for
cancer comes soon, and until that time, I can at least provide a hug and a
smile.
Cancer Comforts by Bella Bubs. For the ones you love.
Sincerely,
Wendy
