Our story
bella bubs began with a mother’s love and desire to create something beautiful.
When my son, Kelsey, was a baby, I wanted nothing but the very best for him. Beautiful fabrics, exceptional comfort, and thoughtful details were important to me. What began as a desire to surround him with those little luxuries soon grew into a passion for creating them myself.
the name bella bubs was born from that love. “bella,” the Italian word for beautiful, reflected my appreciation for beautiful things, while “Bub,” an affectionate Australian term for a little one, held much more personal meaning. it was my nickname for Kelsey. together, the words felt like the perfect expression of everything I wanted to create.
A Family Tradition
My love of beautiful fabrics and thoughtful craftsmanship began long before bella bubs. My grandmother, was Native Hawaiian, and my mother and auntie were exceptionally talented seamstresses. Growing up, my mother made most of my clothes, instilling in me an appreciation for the beauty, quality, and individuality of something made by hand.
That family tradition continues to inspire my creations today. My Aloha Collection is especially close to my heart, celebrating my Hawaiian heritage through beautiful fabrics and timeless designs.
Today, bella bubs carries forward that same love of beautiful fabrics, thoughtful details, and timeless craftsmanship. Every piece is created with the hope that it will be loved, treasured, and perhaps one day passed along.
